Who isn’t aware of the feeling that acne gives us all? It is the most common problem among girls all around the world. The skin filled with pimples and scars is the most awkward and depressing situation, especially when we head out of our homes and face others.
Acne scars are even more stubborn than acne itself. The saddest part is everyone cannot afford those expensive products and medical treatments to get rid of this problem. Here are a few DIY remedies for you that are super easy and inexpensive to try. These have been used for ages get rid of the ever-evolving acne scars and worked wonders for many.
Baking Soda and Lemon Mask:
Baking soda reduces the production of sebum that causes acne. Being a highly alkaline substance, it dries out the skin and causes the dead skin to shed. Lemon is known for its bleaching properties; therefore, it fades away the scars fast.
Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with lemon juice. Make sure the consistency of the paste does not become too thin. Now apply the mixture over the affected areas with cotton ball and rinse it off after 15 minutes. Applying this mask twice a week will speed up the process. It will not only help acne scars but also prevent acne.
Milk, Turmeric, and Honey Mask:
Turmeric is one of the best organic ingredients for skin because of its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Raw milk is best for exfoliation and makes the skin soft and lighter in complexion due to the lactic acid present in it. Similarly, honey also reduces inflammation and fades away the redness of the scars.
Take one teaspoon of turmeric powder and honey each in a bowl. Add two tablespoons of milk and mix them into a smooth paste. Apply the paste on the scars and leave it there for about 10 minutes. Then wash it off with rose water.
Apple Cider Vinegar Face Mask:
For this face mask, you will need green tea and apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar consists of alpha hydroxyl acids. These acids help unclog the pores and remove the oil and dirt trapped in them. It also removes dead skin cells. Furthermore, apple vinegar is effective for treating blemishes.
Green tea is loaded with antioxidants which combat with acne and give you a brighter and youthful skin.
Take a small bowl and add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and one tablespoon of green tea. Mix them together and apply this paste on your skin. Give your skin a gentle massage for around 3 minutes for better blood circulation and removal of dead skin cells. Rinse it off after 15 minutes and apply a little moisturizer for oily skin.
Orange Peel Mask:
Oranges appeal the skin as much as the taste buds. Orange peel mask is best for restoring the youthful skin completely. Its astringent properties and vitamin C help in closing the open pores and making the skin even.
Take two fresh orange peels and some water or raw milk. Grind the orange peels with the milk. Take the mixture out in a bowl and leave on your skin for 15 to 20 minutes until it completely dries up. Scrub it off in the end and then wash your face.
Lemon and Aloe Vera Mask:
Aloe Vera helps the acne prone skin by reducing the redness and swelling. It is easily available and an inexpensive gel. Lemon and aloe make a great combination because of the bleaching properties of lemon.
Take one tablespoon of aloe vera and squeeze half lemon on it. Mix it with a cotton bud and gently apply the paste on the affected areas. Leave it to dry and then wash it off with rose water. You can use this easy remedy on daily basis before going to sleep. It is also best for dark circles.
