I can stand in a card aisle for hours. I find myself laughing out loud, or sometimes on the verge of tears. It’s unbelievable to me, though, how expensive they are. A simple card is five to six dollars. So, why not create your own? I like to have somewhere to start when it comes to homemade cards. Have you ever thought about getting your cards at the Dollar Store? They tend to be more simple than cards at Hallmark or Target, however they can easily be spruced up to your fancy.
Adding gems, lace, ribbon, or stickers will help garnish the card and make it pop. This way you don’t need to worry about the catchy sayings on the inside, or the perfect picture for the front. Simply add adornments to make the card more snazzy for a fraction of the price. Adding confetti to the inside of the card is a fun surprise for the recipient, also. Thanks to the Dollar Store, you can send cards more frequently just to say hello. Here are a few of my latest “Dolled Up Cards”.
Add a few stickers to make a fun teacher appreciation card.
A few sparkly jeweled details can take an already cute card up a notch.
Glam up a birthday card with a few 3D elements and a few pieces of shiny confetti for an extra special surprise.
Send us examples of your one of a kind cards!
