I am absolutely in LOVE with coconut oil. I use it for everything from cooking, to skin care, hair care, as a carrier oil and even as a dietary supplement. When my kids come to me with dry skin, I whip out the coconut oil and just today, we ran out of conditioner in the shower so I put coconut oil in my daughters hair instead. She just rolled her eyes and asked, “Mom, why do you use that stuff for everything?” To which I replied, “because it is magic!” That got me another eye roll, but at this point in her pre-teen life, that is the standard reaction to pretty much everything I say. From the research I have done personally, I always make sure to get Pure, Virgin, Organic Coconut Oil which is crude, unrefined and without any additives and can be used as an edible oil, massage oil, hair oil, cosmetic oil and even as a medicinal oil.
